The ASSET Inter-School Sports Competition 2023-2024, a key event under the Believe You Can initiative, proved to be a resounding success, highlighting the athletic prowess and competitive spirit of students from across Chennai. Organized by the Seek Foundation, in collaboration with the FEFDY Curriculum, this year’s event saw an overwhelming response, with thousands of students competing in various sports and showcasing their talent, teamwork, and determination.

A Two-Event Extravaganza: ASSET Competition Dates and Venues

This year’s ASSET competition was strategically divided into two separate events to accommodate the large number of participants.

• The girls’ events were held on 9th and 10th August 2024 at St. Britto’s College and St. Britto’s Academy.
• The boys’ events took place on 17th August 2024 at A.M. Jain College, Meenambakkam.

The event drew remarkable participation, with 36 schools and 1,038 athletes competing in the girls’ events, and 60 schools with an astounding 2,162 athletes participating in the boys’ events. The sheer scale of participation not only made the event a huge success but also underscored its importance in the Chennai school sports calendar.

A Showcase of Skill and Endurance: ASSET’s Competitive Format

The format of the ASSET Inter-School Sports Competition was designed to test the skill, endurance, and competitive spirit of the participants.

• Day 1 focused on knockout rounds, where schools competed fiercely to secure their places in the next stages.
• Day 2 saw the Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, and Finals, where the best of the best went head-to-head in an intense and thrilling series of matches.
