Young Forum 2024-2025
The Young Forum 2024-25, a highlight of the Believe You Can (BYC) 2024 Interschool Competition, was a grand celebration of intellectual growth, academic excellence, and student collaboration. Organized by the Seek Foundation in partnership with the FEFDY Curriculum, this prestigious event was held at St Britto’s Academy on the 2nd and 3rd of August, 2024.
The Young Forum aimed to provide students with a platform to showcase their intellectual capabilities through a series of academic competitions that fostered critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. A total of 17 schools participated, demonstrating a vibrant mix of knowledge, innovation, and enthusiasm.
Event Inauguration: Lighting the Flame of Knowledge
The Young Forum 2024-25 commenced on a high note with a grand inaugural ceremony on the morning of 2nd August. The event began with a soulful prayer song and a reading from the scriptures, followed by the traditional lighting of the kuthuvilakku, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment.
Participants and guests were welcomed with a graceful invocation dance that celebrated cultural diversity, followed by a motivational address by the Principal of St Britto’s Academy. The Academic Head – Prefects then provided clear instructions and guidelines, ensuring a smooth and well-organized event.
Intellectual Competitions: A Showcase of Talent and Knowledge
The heart of the Young Forum lay in its diverse array of intellectual competitions, designed to challenge students and stimulate their cognitive abilities. Participants engaged in thought-provoking activities that tested their skills in critical thinking, creativity, logic, and academic excellence. Valedictory Ceremony: Honoring Achievements and Inspiration
The day’s events concluded with a valedictory ceremony graced by distinguished guests, including Mr. Racha Aribarg, Royal Thai Consulate General, and Dr. Vimala Rani Britto, Founder of the Seek Foundation and Author of the FEFDY Curriculum. A reflective prayer song set the tone for the ceremony, followed by inspiring speeches from the Chief Guest and Dr. Britto.
In his address, Mr. Aribarg emphasized the importance of unity in diversity and encouraged the young minds to continue striving toward their aspirations and goals. His words resonated deeply with the students, reminding them of the power of collaboration and perseverance in achieving success.
The much-anticipated award distribution ceremony followed, where the efforts and achievements of the participants were recognized and celebrated. The overall winners of the Young Forum 2024-25 were announced, bringing the event to a joyous close:
